"Recollections of Prison Life at Andersonville, Georgia and Florence, South Carolina", was written by Charles Alvord Smith, Company G., 11th Iowa Volunteers, "Crocker's Iowa Brigade".

This book chronicles Smith's capture at the Battle of Atlanta, and his subsequent imprisonment at two confederate prison camps. This book was originally published in Iowa Circa 1875, but was never widely circulated.

This new edition features an edited biography of the author, a condensed historical sketch of the 11th Iowa Volunteers and also contains photographs, sketches and maps.
