SIOUX CITY CAVALRY

1861 - 1864

 

" General Sully said of this Unit, " A better drilled or disciplined company than the Sioux City Cavalry can not be found in the regular or volunteer service of the United States."

November 2003=142nd Anniversary YearWe thank this unit and the Troopers who comprised the

1863 Prairie Army for bringing Peace to Northwest Iowa,

Western Minnesota, and the Dakota's.
