IOWA SECOND INFANTRY
Comprised of 1,247 officers and men. Of this number, during the war, 64 were killed, 134 died,330 were discharged,268 were wounded, 14 were missing and 24 were captured. Colonel Samuel R. Second Veteran Infantry was formed by consolidation of the battalions of the Second and Third Veteran Infantry and was mustered out at Louisville, Ky. July 12, 1865.
